Similar to you, Deepgram is very data privacy and security conscious! As such, we have clarified answers to some of the most common questions asked by our customers around the topics:

Where are Deepgram's datacenters located / data hosted? Do you process data anywhere outside of the United States?

All Deepgram data is processed inside of the continental US.

For how long does Deepgram retain audio files and transcripts? / Can Deepgram access audio data submitted in my requests?

A small sample of uploaded audio may be retained for the purposes of model training, in order to enhance the accuracy of our services. Deepgram then holds that data for as long as necessary and only for the purposes of refining the accuracy of our machine learning algorithms.

All Deepgram personnel operate under an NDA, and third-party-validated industry standard security controls are in place to secure data processing and storage operations. We invite you to read the security and privacy information on our webpage, or - provided you are willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement, review our SOC 2 Report, for more information on how Deepgram protects sensitive information within its environments.

My use case involves the transcription of personally identifiable information (PII), personal health information (PHI), payment card information (PCI), or another form of legally protected data. How should I go about using Deepgram?
